Can't disagree after reading a few more comments.

Though there are some like me who see it for what it is. Glad he was here. wanted him to stay. But don't like him.

I don't buy he'd be excellent at it. Lebron is the ultimate do as I say not as I do guy. And anyone who played with him probably knows it.
Great players never make good coaches
Larry Bird, Magic Johnson best examples. Bill Russell did it but the game was very different then

I wouldn't say never. Rarely, but not never.

The thing with LeBron is that I think he might make a decent player/coach because let's face it, he is going to control the game anyway. Might as well just give him the job instead of installing a figurehead.

That said, I doubt I would want to hire him once his playing days are up, or even after his skills fade a bit.

This really does show how much ESPN is in bed with Lebron.

Their own reporter made this claim during a podcast but it is other news outlets reporting it.
As of right now there is no ESPN story on this.

I think Jackie MacMullan was not supposed to let this cat out of the bag.

I can't think of any great players that were good coaches, outside of Russell, can you?

Not anymore
Have to say I'm liking this forum more and more. Probably in just a few days have seen more admit they made a mistake than you might see in months in other forums. And, yes, I've made a couple as well.

Yeah, I'm not a Lebron fan either. But I am more forgiving than @ChiefsLakers67 and find him more tolerable now that he is on the right team.

Bird was okay as a coach. If memory serves, he actually got the Pacers to the finals.

Magic, on the other hand, wasn't and knew it. He used to talk about how he couldn't understand why his point guards couldn't see what he saw. But what he found even more troubling was guys not appearing to take the game as seriously as he did.

Yeah it's pretty good here. There are a few posters who never admit error, but it just shows their insecurity and we rip 'em pretty good for it.
