I wish I shared everybody’s optimism. Hopefully, I am surprised by this team but I have us at 6-10, but I don’t really know where the wins come from. We have a bitch of a schedule.

gkekoa, I'm just about in total agreement with you with my prediction of 7-9 but I certainly hope that both of us are wrong. I've seen this same movie too many times in recent years about how good the Redskins are going to be going into the regular season only to get disappointed big time each and every year.

Why Roanoke?VT, I sure hope you are right because I would love to be wrong with my 7-9 prediction.
By the way, Roanoke, Virginia has always been one of my favorite places to visit.
Yep, and so does every other team in the NFL on Sunday's (Schedule). If you think this team takes a step back this season with 6 wins (highly unlikely) then, BA, JG and a long line of employee's will likely be escorted out of Ashburn I would think and deservedly so.I wish I shared everybody’s optimism. i think our defense will be improved to at least middle of the pack and that should push us into a situation that means CDC doesnt have to carry us .
we should get 10 wins if healthy
and ANYBODY can predict records . this notion that they cant because of health and how good teams will or wont be is simply a dodge .
whether you are right is more like it .
so when someone asks for a prediction then make the damn thing . yeah any moron knows things change but making predictions is more of a gage on how people feel about things
i dont know why its so damn hard to grab your nuts and trust what you feel
Why Roanoke?

Look, this team will make mistakes, frustrate the crap out of fans and at times, we may very well look bad on either side of the ball. At the end of the day, the team has improved in many areas on both sides of the ball and I believe, you will see WINS COME FROM spectacular play from both sides of the ball. If we have improved even just slightly, the team will eclipse 6 wins without much trouble.

I could have guessed you would have said the "offense" would hold us back this season. Let's see where we improved in the off season:I expect BA to be gone and very possibly JG.
I agree we have improved on the defensive line but have thoroughly regressed in the secondary. I can’t find a single area on the offensive side where we have surely improved. I do expect more from our receivers this season, if given the opportunity.
I expect the offense will hold us back tremendously this season.
I could have guessed you would have said the "offense" would hold us back this season. Let's see where we improved in the off season:
QB = yes
RB = yes
OL = yes
WR = yes
I expect the offense to provide an uptick this season.
Absolutely PR is an improvement over Pryor. Doctson is a freak athlete who will ball out this year. Get a clue.QB, RB, OL are improvements? What?
Paul Richardson is an improvement as a WR2/3 but it wont matter if Doctson still sucks ass

OL is most definitely improved unless they have a rash of injuries (in which case they are doomed). You can't just look at a list of players at the start of each season. The Redskins didn't have the benefit of having most of those players on the field for most of last season. In addition the OL operates as a unit & if you are constantly changing the combinations (the Skins did to almost record levels last season) then it will be a disaster. If they can stay healthy & have roughly the same unit on the field this season that will be a huge advantage.
I thought you would never ask! During my traveling days on business when I was single I covered all of NC and VA and for some reason which I cannot explain Roanoke was always a hot spot for me when it came to meeting women who liked to have fun. I always stayed at the Sheraton which might not even exist anymore but they had a nice nightclub with a live band during my time there. Oh what memories!
