hey...Chris Sheridan said that and I think hes right.

Look at the other teams in the East.

you cannot tell me that any of them are head and shoulders better than:

PG- Collison
SG- Oladipo
SF- Evans
PF- Young
C- Turner

Young is extremely underated. He was a HUGE reason the Pacers went to 7 against the Cavs. He is such an ideal fit in todays game. He plays solid D, and can stretch the floor, pass, switch etc. Oladipo is a legit all star. Collison shot well over 40% from 3. Evans was a GREAT addition- certainly better than any additions the Celtics or Sixers made this offseason. Corey Joseph is one of the best bench guards in the league- if not the best. McDermont is another great shooter they added. Sabonis is a solid young big to bring off the bench.

I mean, Joseph, Sabonis, McDermont, Bogdon, Leaf is a helluva bench.

Don't get me wrong, I think Indiana is probably a top 4 team, but Boston is heads and shoulders above everyone else. Way above everyone else.

PG: Kyrie
SG: Hayward
SF: Brown
PF: Tatum
C: Horford

Bench: Baynes, Smart, Rozier, Semi, etc....

If Kawhi comes back to form, Raptors are way better too. Indiana is a tier below those teams. Still also think Philly is better than Indiana as well.

on paper yes- but Kyrie and Hayward are coming off extremely serious injuries and Kyrie just had a 3rd surgery on his knee.

Hayward and Kyrie have to prove it- and those other guys are going to have to adjust to lesser roles. While I do have Boston as #1 in the East if I had to pick Boston or the field to make the Finals I would probably take the field- though its close. Boston's coaching also does help it as well.

Indiana definitely has a ton of depth and talent though. And I am telling you- Thad Young deserve a lot more credit than he gets. If the Pacers are going to truly make some major noise though Turner has to step it up in a big way. He will be 23 in March, and is getting close to where he needs to show more than just the enormous potential and good runs here and there he has shown- to actually doing it consistently at a high level.

"Everyone sucks except the Lakers, Sixers, and Golden State." - @tlance

I think I've found the bitch I want to use my undefeated avi bets record against.

Lakers vs. OKC - If OKC wins more, tlance sports an avatar of HurricaneDij's choice from the day following the end of the 2019 regular season until the end of June. If the Lakers win more, it's vice versa...

And I think you have an idea of what you'd be wearing if you were to lose...And realize I want this one so bad that I'd be rooting for Paul George just to get it done.

Deal?

No deal.

Why would I want to bet on the Lakers this year?

I agree

Without a doubt but Houston style of play fits him better than OKC IMO. I also think he will be out to prove something after that miserable season he had in Oklahoma.

But yeah as you said, their chances went to hell went to hell one Ariza went to Phoenix. Also didn't help to see Mbah a Moute leave either. He was good for them before getting injured

You think so?

Because I see his role being virtually identical to what I think was in OKC.

They aren't running offense though Melo, I think is going through CP3 and Harden. Melo is going to be used as a floor spacer and a secondary scorer, which was pretty much his role in OKC.

Haven't you heard? Apparently everyone except from him and wiggy are Lakers and Heat fans on these boards

I guess.

I am on record saying I like the track the Lakers are on. I don't think they will do much this year, but look out if they get another FA next summer.

Apparently that means I think everybody sucks? Oh well.

52 wins for the Lakers and a second round exit.

If all the pieces fall in the right places they may make the WCF. Not impossible but not likely though.

And I don't think any Lakers fan would be upset about that.

I like Indiana, too... but ^this^ is a pretty exuberant take.

For instance, Corey Joseph is ok.. but he's not anything like the "best bench guard in the league." If we're comparing Indiana to Boston... the C's have 2 bench guards better than him (Smart, Rozier).

He should really accept a bench role. I dont think he knows that a bench role is probably better for him at this stage of his career

Where would you rank Kyrie all time if he pulled off another championship?

If "he" pulled off another championship?

If "he" does, I would bet it won't be with him as the best player on the team. It will be as a product of a well earned team victory.

So, not all that high.

But, I really don't think it will happen. Especially if rumors are true and he leaves Boston to team up with Jimmy Butler in NY.

Yeah,

Indiana is well behind the top 3 in the East.

They could end up being better than Toronto if Kawhi isn't the same. They could be better than Philly if Philly doesn't improve as much as people assume. But I don't see how they can compete with Boston.

Indy likely finishes between 3-5 in the East this year and they probably get to the second round.

Yeah... I'm with you.

Indy does have a pretty good team, though... I like them... they just need a little more sizzle at the top of their roster, they're probably one super-star short of being a real threat... but ain't everyone?

They're greater than the sum of their parts, which I mean as a compliment.

Yeah, who wouldn't want to pay a role player on the wrong side of 30 at $15 million a year??? Ariza single-handedly shot them out of that Game 7. He's the definition of good/not great defender and a good/not great shooter. Plenty of reasons to let him walk.

Single-handedly? He took ALL of those missed 3s?

Point is, if Iggy wasn't hurt, there wouldn't have been a game 7. Everyone likes to focus on Paul's injury, but Iggy's was the only reason the Clips were still playing.

This.

He'd be a serious 6th man of the year candidate with the 2nd team and playing with Harden and CP on occasion.

This is Melo. His ego won't let him accept a bench role

The fact that he even has a say in it shows just a little of what is wrong in the league at the moment.

The only thing wrong with the league at the moment is Seattle's team is in Oklahoma.
