Dansby's defense has been great this season. Everyone makes a few errors along the way. If you're gonna rail him on every error, give him props for his great plays too, like the one he made to start the second.

Fried WALKED 2 batters, and he has nobody to blame but himself for that.

Starting Fried against deGrom is basically forfeiting this game. No reason we couldn't have matched McCarthy up against deGrom and started Fried against the Mets no name pitcher in game 2. Would have at least had a fighting chance in both games that way.

I hope Fried, Wisler, Sims and Aaron Blair are all gone by the trade deadline.

At least if Soroka, Allard, Kyle Wright or Gohara struggle in the bigs this year, they still have real potential.

Ive been very complimentary of Dansby this year....but that cost us a run as did the play in Philly. He's not the only one, I get mad at everyone who fucks up on defense.

This is why you don't let Max Fried matchup against Jake deGrom.

They announced this matchup before the game yesterday. They would have been perfectly content letting Fried face deGrom carrying a 4 game losing streak in had we not got to Chris Sale yesterday.

This is the equivalent of bringing in Matt Wisler to face Mookie Betts in a one run game. When they're not actively trying to put the team in the best position to win, it makes it real hard to trust this front office and coaching staff.
