LOL...that be the part.
consistency is key. I have to step back sometimes and go with the higher percentage shot sometimes instead of pulling out too high a club and going for it. Smart golf.

LOL..I CAN do it sometimes too. More often than not I select the right club, but hitting it clean is where it fucks me up.
No, no, no. You have to have the newest clubs, balls, and technology.

Your game will improve in no time.

it's usually the second swing...after you decide you aren't finding the first one.
"should have hit it like that the first time!" gets said a lot with my friends.

Wait a minute. Are you saying that when you can't find a wide open fairway and end up in the trees, you don't try to thread the ball between the thirty trees to the flag that you can almost see?

and they usually break their clubs or quit before they finally learn.

Golf is a game for the stubborn masochists of the world.

Creeksbend is my home course. I also play Dahlgreen somewhat regularly. Chaska town course is nice but expensive.

Those are what... 30 minutes apart? Do you live in between them?

I've played Chaska a couple times, but too far for me. I live in the north suburbs.

I live in the Chaska area, Creeksbend is 35 to 40 minutes away, but it's the most affordable.

a double bogie golfer doesn't need to know the exact yardage, isn't going to be precise enough with the club to matter....trust me...I..ahhh...I might know someone like that.

No matter what level you play at you need a clue though.

I walk to my ball, pull out my Nikon Coolshot 40 by the strap that pulls it from an outside pocket of my bag. I Push the button, read the flag and have it back in my bag in less than ten timed seconds. That beats the shit out of figuring the distance by any other means. If you're fucking with a rangefinder for any significant amount of time, you just don't know what you're doing with the damned thing.

I can no longer imagine playing without one.

Think they'll ever be allowed for the pros?

:thumb: What's the difference? $15? $20 per round?

I used to play Braemar quite a bit, but it's been closed since 2016 for a complete makeover. I always liked that course for a muni. Won't open until next year.

Membership for a senior couple was under a grand.
