I'm getting it.So I guess no one is?
I'm getting it.
I think its going to be a really good PVE game and a garbage PVP game at launch, though. My .02 as someone who watches literally every Destiny 2 video that pops up in my youtube feed.
I did a little bit of everything but they've done 3 really dumb things with PVP:Yeah I agree with you. But I play it primarily for PvE anyway. I only play PvP when I get bored with PvE or I need to gain some sort of loot through PvP.
Whats the selling point on Overwatch? Character variety?I never actually played it, I am more of an Overwatch fan.
I haven't been able to play it yet but reddit is convinced that its the end of the world now that they have to shoot things with primary weapons. So the beta is interesting. Pretty limited which is probably a better strategy than giving the game away in beta and having everyone have to reset their achievements, ala The Division.
PvP doesn't seem all that much different. The story mission was pretty long and the Strike was fun. I assume that there will be more to them when the full game releases.
I think thats the best approach for most people who aren't already super in to the Destiny franchise. Destiny 2 will get better and it will get cheaper.I played the beta yesterday and I was getting some serious Halo flashbacks. It seems okay but I think it would have to be on sale for me to have much interest.
If it's anything like the first one there is a built in expectation to also buy the DLC. I don't want to put $100-$120 into a game I might completely forget about after a couple weeks. If it's $30 in November like most games will be I might get it. I don't expect the DLC to go on sale anytime soon though.I think thats the best approach for most people who aren't already super in to the Destiny franchise. I do think its coming out at a time where it has almost no competition because most of the good games game out at the beginning of the year so I don't have much of an issue getting it right away.

Just curious but do you say that as someone who plays a lot of PVP in other games or just someone who doesn't like the PVP?If you can't get a few people to regularly play PvE then Destiny really isn't worth it. The PvE is what makes it great.
I liked the beta.Certainly an evolutionary step from D1. But that's fine with me. I loved the first one. If they make the Raid great I will be more than happy.
How is Fortnite? It seems like an alright game from some of the videos ive seen but generally I avoid Free to play games like the plague due to production values, needed money transactions ("pay to win"), etc.Besides I'm having too much fun on Fortnite right now.
