Sadly, GRRM is a fucking prick and doesn't even have guns in the series. WTF.

wtf indeed. As in 'wtf are you talking about guns for?'

It's a fucking swords and sorcery story. It's based on the War of the Roses period of European history.

You know what else wasn't in GOT? Matter transmitters...

Maybe he gave up on the show too soon. I recently saw a theory that probably won't turn out to be true but it involves some fire "arms" of sorts.

Qyburn makes some sort of wildfire launching device for Jaime to help him take down a dragon. It will replace his golden hand on his right arm. It sounds pretty ridiculous but if done properly I think it would be beyond epic. Qyburn often gets compared to Dr. Frankenstein for his work on The Mountain but I also kind of thought GRRM might have gotten some inspiration from Leonardo Da Vince too. One way or another I think Qyburn definitely has to have some sort of trick up his sleeve to help counter the dragons. Otherwise they might as well have killed him off somehow during the Kings Landing purge of 6.10.

No order but I'd go:

Red Wedding
Blackwater
Hardhome
The Mountain vs. The Red Viper
The one where Ned's head gets chopped off

Really disagree with the last episode of season 6 being #1. That episode was funny just because of how ridiculous it was, but it really wasn't that good.

Can't disagree with that.

I would like to add The Purple Wedding where Joeffry chokes out as one of my favorite moments. It was soooooo great to watch that little shit die out like that!

no you weren't. You were being you.
I mean, you're entitled to believe what you want, but this is no "Pelosi's daughters" comment. If you believe that I honestly think that 4 main characters should or would be shot dead; how did I say it, "a la Valentine's Day Massacre style," in the third episode of fucking Game of Thrones, then have at it. But, wherever you want to rank my intellect relative to my peers, I think we both know I am not that stupid.

In case you didn't realize, ~70% of my comments here on Sports SportsHoopla are either drenched in sarcasm or outright false (granted, more so on the Phillies' board than this board, but you get the point). Telltale signs include being outraged about something I cannot control, proposing ridiculous and illogical solutions, exclamation marks, and usages of the phrase "WTF"...

From what few posts I have read of yours, I really don't care. Whether you feel you are playing a character here or if this is the real you, your opinion does not matter to me. Carry on.

Well, there is your issue there. Book 3 is basically the heart and soul of Game of Thrones as far as I'm concerned. If you don't like Book 3 then you probably should pass.

I had much more of an issue with the later books.
Book 3 definitely had some awesome moments, perhaps the most awesome of any book in the series up to that point. Most notably, Jamie's trip with Brienne or whatever, his rescuing of Tyrion, and his general transformation into a pretty damn good sympathetic asshole.

But there were also certain parts that really dragged to me, that I can't remember off the top of my head (I read the series 2 or 3 years ago).

It certainly wasn't a "bad" book to me; like I said, there were parts I loved that I thought were epic. Actually, I think at the time, my main reason for discontinuing the series were the lackluster reviews for the last two books; particularly the fourth, and the realization that the series would likely never be concluded, at least on paper, a major turnoff.

Good to know. I never really cared what Marylanders thought of me. I mean, we're talking about fucking Maryland here.

Baltimore, MD crime rates and statistics - NeighborhoodScout

Fuck, a fucking 0.55 murder rate with over 600,000 people. Even my state's biggest city couldn't come even close to that, and it only has 70,000 people.

Then you factor in the O's not having won a WS since Reagan was in office, the gayness of Joe Flacco's mustache, its no-show in hockey and basketball, and its lack of anywhere that is actually interesting to visit; and you really have to start thanking David Simon as the only reason we haven't blown up Maryland; specifically Baltimore.

"Triggered"? That's rich, coming from the guy who made a thread on the PF that made fun of those who use that term.

You don't have to care about my opinion, of course. My posts must have upset you somewhere along the road, and I might apologize, if I knew which posts you were referring to, i.e., if I thought I was actually out of line.

But, no, I don't care. I don't even necessarily mind you, though that's besides the point. I just really hate Maryland, and always have. It's the last place I'd willingly move to for an extended period of time. I'd almost rather move to Syria.

I don't recall that thread.

and I am referring to all your posts. You're book and movie reviews that portray you as a self righteous ass who thinks his opinion is gold.

And nope, don't think very highly of myself. I know what I am- a moderately overweight 20 year old who shuns any large advancements in friendships or romantic relationships in favor of the Phillies, the Eagles, school, and watching films and television shows. I also have moderately bad acne, and ADHD and pretty severe OCD.

But at least I'm not from Maryland.

It was hard for anyone to "like" A Feast Of Crows. Definitely my least favorite and the hardest to sink my teeth into. I suppose it was necessary as A Dance With Dragons started tying characters and plots together which I presume will continue with Winds Of Winter but the volume of new characters in Crows was a lot to digest.
