Zuerlein is becoming a problem

Zuerlein has a real problem after he misses a kick, it seems to affect him the rest of the game. If the Rams lose this game, it is on Zuerlein because he has cost them 7 easy points.

It does not matter how long you can kick a ball, if you don't have the mental toughness to shake off a miss then you can't be an NFL kicker.

Still would take him over the majority of kickers in the league. I will let the short miss slide, he had never missed one under 30 yards prior to that. But you are correct it has affected him!

Like i stated in a previous thread; he can be replaced just like every other kicker in the league. All it takes is the next 7th round pick to come in...or FA kicker looking for a shot.

I think it is time for them to bring in competition for him next preseason because this game has shown that he has an issue with consistency after he misses a kick.

We bring bring in some UDFA next off season to compete and I agree that he had an awful game, but he should still be kicker in the future.

They will bring in a veteran to camp to do one of two things. Either A) Help him get his head right and prep better or B) take his job.

Blair for Minnesota missed one as time expired for Minnesota today, he came into the league the same year as GZ. They both have big legs and are two of the better kickers in the league. I think kicking is like golf, if you are off just a little you are going to get bad results.

I think kickers are more hit or miss than good QB's, seems every year teams are looking for a good kicker, we have one, he just went 5-5 a couple weeks ago with two 50+ yarder's. Misses happen, most of his misses in his career are from 50 plus, today was the first ever from inside 30, not sure if that was his first ever PAT miss.

Going into today I think he might have had the Rams record for highest FG % and we have had some decent kickers, Gossett, Ray, Brown, and a few others I can't think of right now,.

Forgot about Wilkins and I'm aging myself here, Frank Corral. I just looked it up, that was Zuerliens first PAT miss, and he has hit 82% of his FG's, that's pretty good considering he's missed a few 50 yarders and I think at least one from over 60, if not two
