Good, acquiring Zid was puzzling... I'd rather have a younger guy with the tools to improve as time goes by than a guy in the twilight of his career... Zid had 13 assist in 39 games for the Wild this year.

If the Devils are going to trade for an aging defenseman it better be Hal Gill. He's on the trading block, his contract expires at the end of the year and he's 36 so we could probably get him for relatively cheap. He's a big guy that plays stay at home D, has won the cup before so he brings the veteran experience. I'd love to have a big body back there to go up against the big forwards on the Flyers and Bruins. If healthy I love a D Corps of:

Volchenkov-Larsson
Gill-Tallinder
Salvador-Greene-Foster-Fayne

I agree with Nasty , Id LOVE Hall Gill..Ive known about Zidlicky for awhile but had no idea he was so old. And unless Tallinder is out for the long run I dont see the point in adding Zid.
