interesting.. gagne's replacement i guess, even though gagne hasnt been moved..

guys got some skills and some wheels, when he wants to use them.. and he's more of a finisher than a playmaker which is what the team needs up front..

i'll reserve too much judgement til its official and we get some numbers.. but i'm not violently opposed at the moment

Flyers are talking to Asham now. Maybe it will come down to who will sign for less between Asham and Carcillo?

according to pierre the nhl and khl are going through the paperwork. once it is completed he will sign a 1 year deal with the flyers.

It better be a one year deal and it better be at a reasonable price like the $3 million or less that was mentioned.

It is a great move if that holds true. I say this because we are short on right wingers and right handed shots. Zherdev is both of those. I think the reward is greater than the risk. He'd probably come in and score a career high in goals since he's always played on very poor offensive teams and his career high is therefore just 27 goals. As we all know, even without Gagne, this will not be a poor offensive team. I expect to score more goals than we did last season when we were still 10th overall in scoring.

I'd say if we are going to risk it, why not make it 3 years for littler under three mil? If he has a stellar year, then he is going to want an absurd amount next year. Get him while he is cheap now.
