I think there may be a little under the table competition with Nuno and Phelps taking place. I think whoever is better over the next 3 weeks will be our 5th starter whenever Pineda returns and the other will head to the pen.

It is Phelps job to lose IMO

No he didn't. 4.1 IP. your point? He threw 5 IP of shutout ball vs TB on the 20th. Not too shabby for a spot starter...

Solarte only lasted a month roughly. He should bunt here to move Roberts over. I have a feeling he is going to hit into a DP here

He still need to give us more innings. He is absolutely killing our pen in his starts. Can he at least make it into the 6th just once before he heads back to the pen?


Thank god it is Tanaka who's pitching tmr or else we would be in trouble but Tanaka is usually good for 6-7 IP easily

If he is then he shouldn't be starting outside of a spot start when there is a dh or something. We can't have him killing the pen every 5th day for next 3 weeks to a month

The Yankees had plenty of opportunities to win the game last night. The bullpen pitched lights out until Chris Leroux came in, who has since been sent back down to the minors.

Good offensive showing today. Hopefully CC will pitch well tomorrow and we can win another series.
