Assuming athleticism/size, etc. is normalized (meaning I could take someone from the past and essentially give them a handicap since players are so much larger/faster now).

QB: 2007 Tom Brady
WR: 2007 Randy Moss
WR: 1987 Jerry Rice
RB: 2006 Ladanian Tomlinson
RB: 2002 Priest Holmes
FLEX: 2000 Marshall Faulk
TE: 2011 Rob Gronkowksi
DEF: 2013 Seahawks (team was a turnover machine, tons of INTs/FFs and recovered over 50% of defensive FF)
K: 1961 George Blanda (anyone who doesn't pick this doesn't know football history very well). Yes he was a QB but also listed as K. This would be the 1st overall pick, EASILY.

BENCH:
QB: 1998 Steve Young (rushing yards)
RB: 1963 Jim Brown
WR: 2001 Terrell Owens
WR: (PPR League) 2002 Marvin Harrison
TE: 1980 Kellen Winslow

QB '18 Mahommes
RB '06 Tomlinson
RB '00 M. Fualk
WR '02 M. Harrison
WR '07 R Moss
Flex '03 P. Holmes
TE '18 Kittle
K '05 Rackers
Def '00 Ravens. (I think fantasy wise, they were marginally better than '85 Bears..maybe?)

But if your just talking random dudes in their primes, not specific seasons where you know what their stats were, then I go with -

QB Manning
RB Tomlinson
RB M Faulk
WR J. Rice
WR R. Moss
Flex E. Smith
TE Gronk
K Tucker
Def '00 Ravens - '85 Bears scheme would get shredded in today's game

Fantasy football didn't exist in the '60's..its like saying Satchel Paige would be the best pitcher in MLB history, only problem being, he was barely in the MLB, so doesn't really count, even if true..which may very well be.
So, while you may need to know NFL history..the history if FF could be important as well, plus depending on your scoring system and position eligibility rules, his QB scoring may not even have counted, even if there was was FF.

I stand corrected, FF existed for 8 dudes in some smokey bar in Oakland in 1963..everyone else started catching on in the '70's. No published details of their scoring rules

even if it did exist most fantasy sites only let u use a player at 1 position so as a kicker his qb stats wouldnt count:suds:

I'm not going by the best years, going by most points (that's how you win in fantasy)

QB - Peyton Manning, 2013
RB - Marshall Faulk, 2000
RB - LT, 2006
WR - Randy Moss, 2007
WR - Jerry Rice, 1995 (Not sure why other years are mentioned, he had 122 receptions and led the league in yards. Still 15 TD's. This is his best year)
TE - Gronk, 2011
Flex - Priest Holmes, 2003
DEF - Bears, 1985
K - David Akers, 2011

Bench (no need for a QB other than bye so going flex's)
WR - Marvin Harrison, 2002
RB - Marshall Faulk, 2001
TE - Travis Kelce, 2018
Flex - Priest Holmes, 2002
