Taylor lead the league in completion % I believe. He was around 70%. That's ridiculous no matter what type of system you play in. Taylor is a legit QB in this league. Flacco? Not so much.

Kirk Cousins led the NFL in comp % @ 69.8%. Taylor wasn't even in the top ten, but his comp % isn't bad @ 63.7%.

And his QBR in those playoff games looks to average out to about 50. 25/10 TD/INT with the 2012 miracle run accounting for 11 of those TD's and 0 INT's. So without that outlier he has a terrible QBR and a 14/10 TD/INT ratio.

Why didn't you use his stats his last 3 or 4 years in the playoffs since we're cherry picking here?

Fair enough.

If the question is whether Flacco is worth his contract I would say no.
If the question is whether Flacco is a top 10 QB I would say no.

But if the question is who would I prefer as my QB, Flacco or Taylor, then I pretty comfortably say Taylor.

Flacco isn't even top 5 in guaranteed money. He did more to earn his contract than a lot of other QB's that average just as much or more a year.

Taylor had a decent season but we'll need to see if it was a fluke now that teams have game tape of him.

Flacco has a 28.5 million dollar cap hit in 2016. That's pretty steep.

Interesting. Do you see another R Wilson in the making?

Ooops. I meant to say Flacco. Brain fart.

I like some of things that Taylor does but I also saw a guy who needs to develop his game quite a bit.

Since he only has two playoff appearances "in the last 3-4" years. And I did talk about one of them as the outlier.

Do you know what "cherry-picking" means? What you are asking me to do, use just "the last 3-4 years" is cherry-picking. Me using all of his playoff history is not.

I like Taylor and I wish the best for him, but what you saw this year is basically his ceiling. He can have a very nice career as Wilson's backup when the Buffalo gig doesn't work out.

I don't see how you know what his ceiling is since this was his first season starting or even playing for that matter. Just cause he was never given a real shot at beating out Flacco and for good reason doesn't mean he can't be a starter elsewhere. Time will tell though!

Because fordman is a bully admin that abuses his position and clearly is a Ravens hater as you can see by his mafia style takeover of tgann's account.....Probably because his franchise qb has gotten elite money to suck at sucking....1 playoff win in 11 years....
All I can say is....

It's probably based on watching him for 4 years and it's obviously my opinion (nothing more).

Yeah but since Flacco was never hurt while Taylor was in Balt, you mostly watched him sit the bench or play with 3rd and 4th stringers in preseason. Not saying you're wrong either but we have a very limited sample of Taylor playing in regular season games. I think the jury is still out and it could eazily go either way for Taylor. Buffalo's poor record with starting QB's since Jim Kelly obviously plays against Taylor here and taints opinions of his future.

I wouldn't say that Taylor has no chance of succeeding. But there are some big holes he has to fix. He still has time to fix them.
