2 third RD picks for BM. Where is this starting to rank? top 10? H Walker trade is far and away No.1 but where is this one ending up?

The Brandon Marshall trade made up for the Rick Mirer trade. <shudder>

Last night's one-handed TD grab by Marshall was awesome. ...Says a life-long die hard Packer fan.

The Bears clearly got the better of that deal, but it's still gotta be quite a ways down the list among all-time NFL trade steals/blunders. ...It didn't involve high first-round picks and hasn't resulted in postseason successes.

Here's a run-down of the results of that trade: ESPN

Here's a reasonably recent top 15: SI

Thanks for adding to the topic. Ya I was overly excited when I made this post. We went from seasons over to game on. I watched the Packers earlier in the day. Packers O is as good as ever. Jordy wow.

You mean Marshall was a bad trade for the other team, not the Bears, right?

At first, I thought you meant that the Bears made a bad trade, trading picks for Marshall.

What's great about Marshall isn't just what he does on Sundays, but the leadership he brought to the team (and I would never believe I would be saying this about him at the time we first got him).

What he does in the off-season to prepare young players like Alshon, Marquess and others has to be one of the things that is elevating this entire team on offense. The guy leads by example, vocally, and gives his time generously to help younger players. Well worth two third round picks.

The BMarsh trade really isn't bad on Miami's part considering the trouble that surrounded him, and the fact that BM clearly wanted out. His stock was down, and the Bears took a risk.

It paid off, but unlike the other trades mentioned in this thread. You can't really blame Miami much for what they did.
