That Rangers lineup is pretty scary 1-5 but then it falls off a lot.

Ours is not scary anywhere but sort of competent/B to B- throughout.

Game on!!

Just idly musing here, but I wonder if the jitters are a slight advantage to the visiting team? Our guy has to pitch first, and if he has the yips....their guy gets a half inning to calm down.

I'm hoping Timmy can make it out of the first inning unscathed. I think that's when he seems to be the most jumpy.

I'm hoping that Ron Washington isn't a very good X's and O's coach. I think it was TCSF who brought up a good point in that Washington may be rusty in strategy when it comes to pulling a pitcher or double switching.

Definitely an advantage for the Giants. I'm going to love watching Guerrero try to police The Phone Booth's big right field, too. He can ask Guillen how much having a great arm matters if you can't get to the ball.

I think we're going to pound Lee - and then get lulled into a false sense of offensive security. Keep changing my mind - or what's left of it. SF wins 8-1 with 3 HRS in this game.

Then it's back to the traditional 2-1, 3-2, 4-3 one run game sequences.

Interesting point. Regardless, I don't think Cliff Lee gets the yips in Game 1 of a World Series, home or away. Colby Lewis, C.J. Wilson and Tommy Hunter are a-whole-nother story, however.

Vlad is in left. So Washington isn't THAT dumb.

Only two games Philly won.....

Andrus is an easy out. He's a great defensive player and fast, but he's only got a .309 wOBA. If you get him out repeatedly, you have a good chance of neutralizing their running game.

I like hearing this. We really need to focus on keeping the first two guys off base. That way, even if one of the big boys hits a long ball it's not as devastating.

Yeah the Giants one totally different than the OP in this thread. Huff moved down vs a tough lefty. I like it. I think Posey is more suited to 3rd anyway.

Is Vlad still in LF not RF according to Baggs?

Since it's possible that we don't get many baserunners, and we know Molina has an arm that's declined to shit, does anybody else think that almost everytime that Ross, Renteria, or Torres get on they should run?
