I like your attitude. I remember when Tony's crew chief had announced he was leaving and he won the championship. It could happen to Junior this year? That would be very cool!

I am a fan of Dale Earnhardt Jr. And that being said; I don't see him ever winning a Championship. He works for Rick Hendrick. And face it. Rick Hendrick has become a team operation. And we all know who their driver is. And it is not the 88 car.

Hendrick has won championships with many drivers over the years, so i dont buy that Jimmy is the driver at Hendrick and i am sure that JG and DJ would both disagree with you. Who is leading the points presently? and there still is alot of racing left and both Junior or Gordon could run away with it if they get hot. Hendrick has been strong on three fronts this year and if not for Jimmies 3 race span of wins, he might not be in the mix right now as he has been mediocre otherwise in many races this year.

I dont see this being Juniors year, he always finds a way to blow it for himself once in the chase, but who knows with these changes they've made this year.

I don't agree with this. All 4 Hendrick drivers are given fantastic equipment in their cars each week. Jimmie wins because he is the best driver among the 4. Kasey Kahne is the worst driver among the 4 and I see him being the odd man out sooner than later. Jimmie also has an excellent working relationship with one of the best crew chiefs in the business. The #48 team has a winning combo.

Dale Jr. has a very real chance to win the championship this season and I believe it would be good for the sport to see someone new atop the stage.

It depends on Luck. If any of the leaders has a DNF in the Chase races, it will be hard for them to come back.

This is Junior year. If he doesn't win a title this year he probably will never win a title.

After 19 races so far he is 2nd in wins and is tied for most top 5's & top 10's

Jr looks good so far but 1 bad race in the chase and its hard to recover. he will have to be solid every race in the chase.

1 or 2 more wins before the chase will help him a lot once in it giving him a cushion in the first few races in case of a bad finish

IDK about 'Jimmie' being a girl's name.. but he don't drive like any girl I've seen..

But IMO there was no better driver than Earnhardt.. taken from us way too soon

even with what happened at New Hampshire.. he's still the favorite going into the chase.. until someone steps up and proves the can beat the 48.. they are the team to beat.. again
