I’d like to try that. Never heard of it. I just finished a few 8% Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin Ales this week’s though. Great seasonal brew.

Amber is usually my least favorite style, as it's too much in the middle. But, another local brewery makes a pumpkin beer which uses the amber as a base, and I like that one.

I'll probably get a growler to take home during one of the later series. Whichever one I'm most excited about, as the playoffs unfold.

Since it's imperial, does it taste more like a pumpkin IPA?

I've been saying this for the last few years.
Football has the one & done format...which is fine for that particular sport...but baseball is a game predicated on playing a series.
A best of 3 should be the way to go for the MLB WC round.

The WC team with the better regular season record would still host all 3 games if necessary, and tie breakers would come into play if needed. WC series winner still gets to play the League's best overall team record wise.

It's not rocket surgery. Get on board, Manfred.

I'm on board for best of 3 for the wild card.

In general, I'm a fan of things with larger sample sizes, as it allows the better team to win.

There can still be good drama too even with longer series.

My dream schedule alteration would be to cut division games from 17-19 times, to 10 times.

Use the 28-30 games freed up to play the remaining teams in the opposite conference. Currently there's 10 teams that aren't played.

You'd still play the division the most amount of times, but also be able to play the entire league.

With the way team rosters change so much, it would be beneficial to fans to see how a particular team looks like in that given year, instead of having to wait 3 years.

Strasburgh is hitting pretty much every part of the zone, in a long AB.

I hope Scherzer has his Halladay style drop off next season.

Interestingly enough, Roy Halladay and Tommy Hanson both had a fork stuck in them during the same game. A 15-13 Braves win at the Ted.

Whoooooah!! Too soon!!!!!

oh wait, I guess you're talking about his pitching

The Nats won the NL East in ‘12, ‘14, ‘16, and ‘17 and then proceeded to lose the NLDS each time. Bad luck continues. Now down to 6 outs.

That 2012 one was their best one IMO.

6 straight losses in which they could’ve eliminated their opponent.

I like the 1 game format. It's like a Game 7. That said, I need some whiskey.
