Y'all spent all that money in the offseason and improved by one game from last season.

Scherzer wasn't very good at all in September. I get the track record, but I would have went with a hotter hand. Strasburg's ERA was nearly 3 runs lower in September, and Corbin had a much stronger end to the season as well.

"I've got a guy with an ERA over 5 in September, a guy with an ERA in the mid 3's in September that gets a lot of run support and a guy with a sub 3 ERA in September, and our season hinges on one game. I'll go with the guy with an ERA over 5 the last month of the season."

I guess he was counting on that offense staying hot... Which is still a possibility here, and then having Strasbourg/Corbin for games 1&2 of the LDS

I hope Scherzer has his Halladay style drop off next season.

Interestingly enough, Roy Halladay and Tommy Hanson both had a fork stuck in them during the same game. A 15-13 Braves win at the Ted.

Meh, when your season is on the line in a one game, win or go home situation you might wanna go with the hot hand, and worry about game 1 and 2 in the DS when you get there.
