I doubt Orakpo will be back unless he is willing to take a serious pay cut, which I don't see happening. Some team will pay him. I expect we will draft another OLB next year in the mid rounds who is a pass rush specialist. We will see a platoon between him and Murphy. I still have some optimism with Murphy. The guy is a physical freak and has a huge frame which he hasn't come near to filling out. He is also very smart so I expect continued improvement.

I really don't want to see us take an OLB with our 1st pick. We have adequate talent at that position. I would hope we can address the OL or Secondary first. Of course it all depends on who is available.

I agree that some team will roll the dice. But it will be interesting to see how it shakes out. He knows he is in for a big cut and will probably sign a 1 year deal.

Orakpo is NOT in a position of strength in the negotations now......With his 3rd pec injury.... He will sign a 1 year prove it deal........I am am hopeful he resigns with Washington.....generally with players coming off injury, others teams are leary to sign........I am thinking right now...the Skins will be the team to sign him and I bet it will be a nice...1 year prove it deal.......

Dad said 5-6 million.......I would be ok with giving him that........

Plus......that would really eliminate LB as a pick in the early rounds, so we can concentrate on the Oline and Safety!!!

We need to focus on OL and S regardless of what Rak does.

Yes... We all know that......but we are saying it would be nice to eliminate that as a need with a higher pick

Gentlemen, this is DC we're talking about, They will resign Ryan Clark. Remember the reason they signed him in the first place was because of his veteran leadership. They will then draft safeties in the 4th and 6th rounds. With their early picks they will pass on OLB'er and RT's instead opting for DE's to convert to OLB'ers and LT's to convert to RT. I truly hope that they NOT do this, but if history is an indicator....................

Ryan Kerrigan Bio - PURDUESPORTS.COM - Purdue Official Athletic Site

I share some of your concerns about the Redskins perhaps not making the correct picks. However - could we please put this myth to bed about drafting players based on the 3-4 or 4-3 system. Again - no team runs a pure 3-4. They mix it up a lot & quite often & - even the Redskins - are in a 4-3 type situation a lot.

Also - see link above - Kerrigan was a DE in college! Did the Redskins make the wrong pick with him? Cmon.
