Why do some guys have 3 college teams listed as favorites?

Below your avatar you can show the logos of your 3 favorite teams. Why show 3 different colleges? It's kinda lame. I fully expect it from Team SEC. My loyalty at this level is 100% for Ohio State and no other.

I can't speak for others, but I have 2/3 because they are my alma maters. I attended different schools of for my bachelors and masters degrees

So I don't think that is lame. What is lame is someone having "THE Ohio St." for all three. Seems to indicate an inferiority complex

I've thought of going there instead of the three SU flags. I don't care for pro ball so I don't really see a need to fly a pro team flag.

But I do like College football and basketball. I like certain Universities because of the different areas I've lived in. I could see me flying SU, Penn State and a UK flag cause I've lived in those areas and like the teams they put on the field/court.

So without the desire for pro football, baseball or basketball.....why not throw up three college teams?

I have three college teams that I support because I like how they run their programs. In addition, I lived in 2 of the 3 areas and have family in the third. Why should one be locked into just one team. It's still America and it's OK to support more than one program. If anyone objects to that; that's fine with me.

Then Ga Southern where I went to school. Now they are FBS so if they play Georgia I root for Southern.

Finally, I have Iowa. My sister went there and that is the only place I saw a big ten home game at. Plus I loved the campus.

I have two bc I graduated from MSU. But my heart is with Ohio St. I still root for MSU pretty hard bc I used to go to all the home games and a couple road games.
