Are the White Sox coming back from the dead? The next couple of series will help answer that question. Last year Houston rag dogged the Sox in the season and in the playoffs.

If the Good Guys can hold their own in this series against the 'Stros, who have the 2nd best record in the AL, it will go a long way to help their confidence.

As long as there are New York Yankees and Houston Astros teams around, the White Sox will be on the outside looking in, no matter what.

Last night was one of those brutal games like others this season. Moncada apparently tweaked his hammy celebrating his 5 hit game. Someone needs to tell Uncle Jerry that soft tissue injuries are preventable and he's wasting his money on injured players.

Man, Abreu has always found a way to hit Verlander well. Super impressive.

Giolito's velocity going into the shitter is a really bad break for this team. Still want to see what we do at the deadline and get TA/Eloy back before declaring things one way or another.

Nice to see someone else's Ace fall apart during a start. Vaughn's got his average over .320.

Also, nice to see Johnny Cueto get a W after a number of fine performances.

You guys should thank me. I’m in Houston today. Family chose Space Center over White Sox, despite dad’s insistence on the latter…ensuring today’s win.

Big warm thanks to the fam, Jid. Had you watched the game, we obviously would have lost.

Prior to the game, knowing it was Cueto v Verlander, and in Houston, I probably wouldn't have taken the odds of us winning, even if you offered 5-1 odds. Maybe 10-1 tho. :cool2:

Time to make a statement and take a series from the Stros.

Nicely played game last night by the Sox but not enough. Kopech pitch fine, but was not near his best.
