Well its definately budget to a degree. I do have to believe however oysters largely due to the sale of half the team tho, more than we don't have the money, but of course thats speculation.

Personally I'd really like to wish Colin luck. He may have given us headaches at times but that man was the defintion of a loyal soldier. To the same degree as brylin in my mind

Yeah, I love these 2 moves. This helps the team on the ice and trims some salary...win-win. Happy trails and good luck Whitey, but I'd rather keep Clarky and roll with our young D to compliment Volch and Talinder.

Colin was one of my favorites. He was very loyal and mean/nasty on the ice. We all knew he had the tendency to be a knucklehead. But I know I'm one of the very few with his jersey. Didn't expect him to be bought out especially with 1 year left.

IMO besides "budgetary" reasons, me thinks Bryce is ready to play again.

Very true. I think its undeniable that budget is a factor but I think its foolish to say its THE factor. I really have to believe once that 48 percent is sold the money will be there.

I honestly don't know what is going on. Buyout on White makes no sense at all. Yea we have a bunch of Defense prospects but none of Gelinas, Burlon, Urbom, Sova, etc. are ready for the NHL.

Its a sad day when Fucking Mark Fraser will be replacing White.

My one worry with this is if we try to replace his physicality on D with a guy like Fraser. Toughness really is my main concern at this point. Obviously we can't have a team of goons but with the exception of maybe 3 or 4 guys we have a team of wimps.

It's a good move though, let the young guys get experience. I really see 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 being our years to make a real serious run at the cup so no use giving minutes to guys that won't neccessarily be able to help us at that point.

I agree that all of these guys are better, but I can still see him getting time this year. Tallinder, Greene, Volch, and Fayne are the only guarantees in my opinion. Salvador who knows what is going on, and we'll have to see what the gameplan is with the young guys after training camp. An injury or 2 and Fraser may be getting more playing time than we'd like to see.

I'm less confident in the Defense this year than I was last year.

^^^^this I think it would have made more sense to buy out Salvador and let Fraser go after arbitration.White was one of our few consistent dmen believe me its going to hurt not having him on the pk.hopefully tilo is right and we resign him for less

I don't think we could buy out Salvador due to his injuries. I think he needs to be 100 percent cleared to buy him out.

While not to s his d too much larsson at least has 2 and a half years if pro under his belt in what is arguably the 3rd best league in the world.

The d will theoretically be something like:

Larsson
Taormina
Fayne.

Methinks Fraser is in trouble.
