It's not a free agent signing, they would be trading back similar contract amounts. The question is who has expiring deals and picks?
Got it, wasn't sure of his contract situation.

Fuck it. Trade him to the Lakers for Dlo/Reaves/Rui and all the picks.

Lebron/AD/KD what a squad!!!

*watches them make the 9th seed and lose in the 1st round to the Grizzlies*

Lol, I read the first sentence and the first thing that went through my head was "They'll probably miss the playoffs" :pound:

You know it, I know it. He will ask soon. That was a one year go for it that failed. They have ZERO assets to improve the team, no cap space, Booker and Beal give you the exact same thing (scoring, no D) and KD basically now that too, coach is dead man walking

There are places he would fit great like OKC (too weird to come back?), Cleveland (eh), dare I say Golden State?(can say it but they don't have enough to trade), Lakers (same), New York, etc

Who's got enough to trade and who'd want it?

If I were to take a random guess it would be they get rid of Vogel first, start the season, still fuck up, and THEN he requests a trade.

If anything he'll want to join an up and coming young team like OKC, Memphis or Minnesota

I suppose he might wait but demanding a trade is for sure gonna happen at some point. This team isn't going anywhere.

Oh god no. Especially with three players taking up over $150m in cap space.

It would even benefit Phoenix getting rid of one of them to get some depth!

It would be smart for them to get in front of it and start asking around before he goes public with a demand, which would hurt his return

A sign and trade with Giddey would be the only way to even start getting there. I’m not ruling out KD coming back, but I think we are still a couple years away from it being realistic.

I don't they can take S&Ts because they are over the 2nd apron

Kawhi for Durant.

I will even through in a gently used PJ Tucker.

No, seriously…

Philly, Knicks, Miami or Mavs.

To Minny for KAT? I don't see salary matches that make sense for OKC or Memphis.

How do any of them put together a desirable salary match?

Don’t bring any of that poison to NY

We’re just fine..

Embiid needs anger management and then bring him to NY. That’s about it

Pass

I think MN will move Kat, but not for Durant

They'd be looking to dump salary and get picks

It's the salary match part that will most likely come back to haunt Phoenix.

They're not going to get equal value for KD. Best they can hope for is picks, hopefully a promising player and expiring contracts.

They're going to want to take the minimum in salary back to try to get back under that 2nd apron, but if the other team is over the cap, that means at least 80% of matching salary.
