MM - things almost always get better in time on their own. I wouldn't bother addressing it. Hell, Van Noy kept whiny bout some injury, I don't know what it is and I'm not going to know. You know why? Cuz he's fine, that's why!

MM: Don't worry if you miss some time... We have my late round gems, Whitehead and Travis Lewis available if you miss a couple games.

There's no way Mayhew uses a first name with a Lewis. Not when drafting, or anything else.

Lions WLB DeAndre Levy said he is still dealing with pain in his injured hip.

Levy called the pain "a small, little irritant right now," but he hinted he needs the pain to go away before he can return to the field. After missing the first three weeks of the season, Levy said he should know "Tuesday or Wednesday" if he will be ready for Week 4.

Lying ass hoe. NFL players fight through "small little irritant's" all the time especially when their team is struggling without him.

And when they just signed a huge contract.

I doubt he all of a sudden makes the trip to Seattle, but you never know. Got to be getting pretty desperate now. Then again defense was probably good enough to win the last 2 games. Offense not only didnt score more than 2 TDs they set up turnovers that led to 10 points a game. Defense even had to give the offense a short field to score one of the TDs.

My next guess would be week 5 though.

Lions are a bottom 5 defense. They gave up 26 points to the Vikes and 24 to the Broncos. That's not good enough to win. The defense is just as bad as the offense.

When the offense gives the opponents the ball in our own territory 3 times each game, 25 points a game allowed is at least average and certainly good enough to win games

It's not average. It's well below average. 27th out of 32 to be exact.

Only if you continue to ignore the short fields that the offense keeps sticking them with. And they are currently 24th in points against (even after all the the turnovers) after 3 weeks to be exact.

Ok, how many turnover's and short fields has the defense had to endure based upon our rinky dink offense and Matthew Cutler's interceptions and fumbles?

The Lions have 2 more turnovers from Stafford through 3 games thus year compared to last year (6 this year to 4 last year).

So you don't think they played good last Sunday?

Outside of the one bomb to Thomas that Slay gave up. They were solid in my opinion. I believe they just run out of gas after Matty Cutler's last turnover took the sails out of the team.

I don't think they played good for 60 minutes, no. I think they played good up to when it was 14-12, and gave the offense two good opportunities to take the lead. But that's football. In the end they gave up 27 points.

Last year, the D played great for 60 minutes 16 times.

Even when they only gave up 3 points on the first Matthew Cutler turnover. Only 17 points with 4-5 minutes left in the game. Then Mr. Cutler throws another back breaking pick. I don't blame them for giving up the last one. They just felt like even another stop won't do anything cause it will probably just end in another turnover.

I sure hope you're counting the playoff game as the 16th. That Pat's game was clinic of how not to play defense.
