what do you consider a successful sleeper play

My criteria has always been double digits for all starters. I'd be happy with 9 from a sleeper.

Of course, if the rest of the team is doing well, and the sleeper just does better than a guy on my bench (even if it is low single digits), then I consider it a good play.

Yea...outscore the dude on the bench and you can't really complain much. But as Joe mentioned, actual success would be 10 or more
