Josh Smith is filling in and he did get the late inning hit. You guys are unwise to just write him off.

I figured someone would PH for Josh Smith and Leody.......Smith is useless with the bat and Leodyhas been bad for months

Not really anyone on the bench to replace him with in the field except Ornelas, who's bat is no better, Grossman could have be l but then you would need to put him in the field which is a non option, no where for Garver to play in regards to Smith

I'd rather have Duran's and Smith's defense and offense in LF and 3B later in the game than Grossman and Duran's defense and offense on LF and at 3B

Not sure if this was posted already or not, but Ohtani is being skipped in the rotation this week due to arm fatigue, so we get to miss him on Wednesday. We can effectively bury the Angels this week if we sweep them.

If this loss leads to Bochy eventually reversing Smith and Chapman, then it will be a good loss. Better to lose this way now, and change things before the postseason.

For whatever reason the Angels love playing in Arlington. They always put up a bunch of runs. I'm hoping we get 2 out of 3. But they seem to have our number when they visit.

Fangraphs has the Angels with a 1.7% chance of making the playoffs as of yesterday. I think they already are buried if you believe in those odds.

Yeah, I thought they were done a few days before the trade deadline.

I know some are upset about the loss but we have won 4 series in a row and have seen some great pitching overall. The weak link has been Smith as he has given up runs in 3 of his last 4 appearances so I am on board with moving Chapman to closer.
