Timmo has been wearing down since the ASB. Lavi has been lowering his ice time down a bit, but if the Flyers want any chance to succeed in the playoffs, then they need to give Timmo some rest. He's our best dman right now.

there is an injury, to either mez, timo, or coburn. timo and coburn were out with "maintenance" days saturday. mez took a shot off the leg in practice saturday. they are actually down to 4 dman according to csn.

Per the flyers website, Mez and Kimmo are both out indefinitely with lower body injuries.

Hopefully nothing too serious although in the long run a little break for Kimmo will go a long way down the road. The D actually played great tonight but I don't understand why the offense has been disappearing when the D is stellar? At least they found a way tonight which is huge moving forward....

I actually didn't think the D was great last night. They gave up a lot of shot. Bryz was awesome though. They don't win that game without him. I would like to see more of that.

all things considered (lilja/gust in) i thought they played very well.. they had a few lapses, but a lot of the caps shots were from the outside and once again they had a handful of clutch blocks (grossman and kubina especially)

me too.. he's been really solid

i read somewhere yesterday that he would've been in harry z's spot at the beginning of the year but i guess he was hurt.. hence wellwood getting the nod over Z last night

what makes me think he just needs rest is the fact that he played through the finish of every game so far.. they cut back his time to try and rest him in the past couple weeks, and that wasn't enough, so they're shutting him down to try and get him back up to snuff.. so i really think he'd keep playing if the flyers felt they absolutely needed him right now.. and they dont.. they really want him to play, but its not a need at this point

Yup, Eskin is correct way more often than he is wrong.

its ok he's an ironman, this could actually be a good thing ya know, give him a much needed rest to better himself for the playoffs.

A slipped disc could be very minor, or career ending. But the reality is most pro athletes probably have some sort of disc issues later in their career. The problem with something like this is even a minor issue could flare up for a few weeks.
I work with a lot of younger athletes that go through back issues frequently.

I heard earlier in the year that Kimmo was plating with a sore back. He said it was not bad enough to keep him out. A few pills or a shot or 2 and he will be ready to go.:pray2:
