I can't believe this just happened.

Denver takes my favorite player in the entire draft.. That has never happened.. I mean Surtain was one of my favorite's in the draft but my VERY favorite person coming out.. That has never happens. I am speechless. Skittle overdose. I am speechless right now. I can't believe that just happened.

I woke up a happier man today. One of my most amazing draft moments and I have had some good ones.

I never expected this. Marvin Mims was a guy I drafted on my college fantasy team three years ago as a FR and then I had him all 3 years of his college career. I had talked about him last year and this year in the draft discussion thread a lot but with our current WR situation never actually thought he would be under any consideration for Denver. As the thought crossed my mind how cool it would be I never expected it to happen. I was more hoping he just wouldn't go to the Chiefs when thinking about where he would end up and anything else I could accept. I had a moment yesterday morning where I told myself "What if", what if the one time I think there is no way the Broncos draft my very favorite player in the draft they actually do it.

Then it happened... I was watching the draft with my brother when it was announced I think he was concerned for me at first. I couldn't get the words out. I was calm about it but in shock. I couldn't believe it really happened.

Then my phone went bat shit crazy with all of my friends who knew I was a big fan of Mims. Also had some interaction with him over the years so that is a double bonus. When Denver showed interest in Rashee Rice it did cross my mind at one point that it could be possible. A speed WR who is in the same draft range as him but I NEVER thought it had a chance.

Mixed emotions on this pick on MHR, but the group here, whose opinions I trust far more than other forums, seem to be pretty high on Mims. I don't have a strong opinion one way or another. I do think an alternative/upgrade to Hamler was necessary and Mims will fit that bill perfectly. If he can stay on the field he's an automatic upgrade.

I don't know what could be better for long ball loving Wilson than a human torch running downfield with a superpower for tracking the football and catching it with his hands. Mims makes the deep threat real to defenders - which opens up the field for Jeudy, Sutton or Aaron Patrick.

I can't stop the excitement when I head this happen.

It was so unexpected for me.

One of the coolest draft moments in my life.

I keep replaying the feedback of them announcing his selection and playing out my reaction. It felt like a draft dream I had and then woke up to sad. I have to make sure it really happened.
