I think we've had more nooners in the last 2 seasons than we probably had in the previous 6.

Time to step our game up

What would it be like trying to get tickets for this game?

Have you guys been selling out this year and/or will there be tickets available at the game, or should I buy them online if I decide to go?

Could be worse. We could be in the Big Ten playing 11am games.

Should be no trouble getting them

Me and some friends were planning a trip up for a game and we picked the Duke game instead of Pitt because we figured we could get tickets easier. Seems to not be an issue at the moment.

Nice to have a couple extra days to prepare for UNC. Here's to hoping Exum is back.

Who should cover Ebron?

Any chance Exum comes in to replace Bonner?

If Kyle had ever played safety I'd say bring Exum in at CB and slide Kyle over. Maybe still... I've often wondered if Kyle wouldn't make a great safety.

Kyle's too valuable to have him sitting 10-20 yds off the line of scrimmage.

I'd just work Exum in slowly. 15 to 20 snaps at nickel or something.

We'll probably play a lot of nickel anyway. I say work Exum in slowly, if available. He's going to be a tad rusty. Freshmen are earning their trust, and Bonner will look better back in our base defensive style.

Exum needs to shake the rust off quick, otherwise his CB job may be in jeopardy with the way these freshman are playing!

Huh? We sure could have used that value at FS last night. If you have an embarrassment of riches at CB, what exactly is the problem with moving to safety the one best suited there? Kendall, Facyson, and Exum (sans rust) are more than capable of holding down the corners and nickel without a significant drop off if Kyle were to play FS. Question whether Kyle's the one best suited there all you like (note: even I did that above), but that's not what you did there.

Everyone has a bad game now and then. We're probably all overreacting here, Bonner's screw-ups ringing more loudly in our ears than the games he has played well.

I haven't seen a VT corner since Flowers, be able to make plays around the line of scrimmage like Fuller does. He's one of our best open field tacklers....yet his one weakness has been getting burned deep in the past.

Exactly. His one weakness is something that wouldn't be nearly as much of an issue playing FS as it is playing CB. A FS is less often matched up one-on-one with a receiver that can beat them deep, is better positioned to avoid being beaten deep, and is more focused on taking away the deep threat (Fuller is usually beaten deep because he's being too aggressive short, and I just don't see him playing that way if his primary responsibility is not letting someone go deep). Now if you want to say he'd be better at strong safety, I probably wouldn't argue that, except that we're not moving Jarrett...

Would we miss his play around the line of scrimmage? Yes. Would I worry about that as much as I worry about Bonner getting beaten deep? No.

Exum would be perfect at Safety considering he started his career there and is projected as a Safety in the NFL...

With how aggressive our defense is, sometimes we don't even have a deep safety on the play. Our weakness is that Bonner and Jarrett get mismatched in man to man with the slot receivers. Exum would help that but we got to realize that there is no way is he anywhere near full speed even if he is cleared to play.
