I'm excited that the Giants are actually bringing a legitimate NFL defense to the match-up this time around.

Last season, we certainly didn't.

DE - JPP
DT - Hankins
DT - "Snacks" Harrison
DE - Vernon

LB - Kennard
LB - Kelvin Sheppard, Keenan Robinson
LB - Casillas

CB - DRC
CB - Janoris Jenkins
{3rd CB} - Eli Apple
SS - Landon Collins
FS - Darian Thompson

^ Strengths being D-line and CB. Giants have been hitting and tackling way, way better than the historically bad defense we had last season.

Pete Prisco of cbs.sportsline has the 'skins winning this one...

NFL Week 3 picks: Winless Redskins top Giants, Patriots upset Texans

I love the reasoning... basically all negative towards the Redskins, but then predicts them to win regardless:

I hope Kirk Cousins is investing the $20 million he's getting from the Redskins this year, because based on the way he's played so far this season, there might not be much more coming after 2016. If we were to rank NFC East quarterbacks right now, Cousins probably wouldn't even be in the top-four, which is kind of embarrassing since there's only four teams in the division.

Things are so bad in Washington that I have to use pirate words to describe them, and this week's pirate word is mutiny. Apparently, there's a small mutiny brewing in the Redskins locker room.

The good news for Washington is that Cousins was actually decent against the Giants last season, throwing for over 300 yards in each game. Decent doesn't beat every team, but I feel like it's going to be enough to beat the Giants.

The pick: Redskins 30-27 over Giants.

Skins are certainly capable of winning this game but not with the penalties, QB play and undisciplined football we've seen so far this year.

Hoping that changes for us this Sunday.

Here's to a good game with no injuries:suds:

I agree.

I think both of our teams are just about equally capable of winning or losing this game.

Giants not making OBJ available to media, we'll get Eli instead. Heh.

I hope that both him & Norman don't say a damn thing this week. I am really getting tired of the media fixating on Norman & the opposing WRs. Who freaking cares! Norman & very little else has been the bright spot on the defense yet the moronic media wants to focus on this crap. Enough already.

It'd be nice but it won't happen. Media needs storylines. Agree that at least Norman and O'Dell aren't fueling the fire...yet.

is it the moronic media or the moronic fans ... because if the media wasnt getting clicks on their stories they would find other topics to discuss

i delivered newspapers once ... so that makes me an authority on the topic

Some interesting comments coming from Keenan today. He also said he was offered a LTC at the end of 2014 but didn't see himself wanting to stay in DC for the long haul.

Paperboy myself Krush, I delivered three different papers over that time. The PG Journal (weekly), the old Daily News in evenings and the Washington Star evenings and Sunday morning. Can I be an authority too? :D

So it appears we will get the Norman and O'Dell match up, except for slot.

I honestly don't understand why the Skins would announce that Norman would travel with O'Dell. What strategic advantage is that? Why not just do it - let Giants deal with it at game time?

If the 'skins do match-up Norman vs OBJ... I'd have to say the advantage is to the Giants.

Norman is very good at what he does... being a zone CB. He is not a great man-to-man, sticky cover guy.

Seems like an odd idea for the 'skins to change this up now. It doesn't play to Norman's strength... and furthermore: the Giants are more than just Odell this year. Victor Cruz is back, and rooking Sterling Shepard has looked solid. IOW's: the Giants don't need to force-feed OBJ.

This from Keim just pisses me off...what the heck????:gaah::L

Washington's coaching staff wanted to make the decision sooner, but it didn't want to upset Redskins cornerback Bashaud Breeland. Breeland wasn't pleased with the team's decision to assign Norman to the No. 1 receiver the past two weeks, so the Redskins backed off.
