Gio Bennard was an ND decommit? How did I not know that...Didn't we just have someone else pull this that is going to UNC now??

It all started with Greg Little. Of course, I'm glad he never signed with ND.

I followed his career quite a bit after my brother told me that Notre Dame had him and then he decommitted.Any time I seen a North Carolina highlight I always watched for his name. Needless to say he made the headlines quite a bit. When he turned pro I drafted him on both my fantasy teams as a third back, pretty good choice. No different than I follow Greenberry, Darby , Shepard, Neal, Vanderdoes and a few others who used to be committed to Notre Dame. Call me crazy.

I won't call you crazy, but this just might go on the crazy side of the ledger.

Don't know where to put this, but had a question...

...Senior bowl is today apparently, is ND represented by chance?

The person who can answer this the quickest gets repped...ready, set...go...

I was really disappointed when Bennard flipped to UNC but it was what it was he had a great college career down there and got drafted to the NFL so I"m sure his goals have been met.

I remember Bernard was injured most of his senior season. Probably committed to nd because they honor those commitments even if injury takes longer to recover. I think when he healed hr felt he had more options. Bernard also came from St. Thomas Aquinas one of South Florida's powerhouse programs. We used to do really well getting kids from there but over past few years not so much.

They did land Holmes from St. Thomas Aquinas this year. But he is the first since 2009, in 2010 they transitioned from Weis to Kelly so it's no surprised they didn't land anyone then or since then. The Florida Schools have been hitting it harder and not as many top recruits were coming out of there after 2010, I think this is the first season they have had two players in espn's top 300 and in several previous years they didn't have any.

I think Jordan Cowartour long snapper was the last one before Holmes.

Ben Turk and Cowart were the last. Hopefully Holmes reopens that pipeline.
