It looks like the Transfer Portal is filling up. Did you lose anyone? Who would you go after for your team?
agree. but I'd say narrow the portal window to a very narrow time slot. it's waaaaay too accessible now.It really has gotten ridiculous.
It is time to do away with the transfer portal. Make them sit out a year again without some limited exceptions. A couple of individual exceptions (medical or family reasons or that they were never under full scholarship) and coaching change with the team would be the only way waive the year sit out.
Transfer portal was fine when they werent playing the players. But they are now. From now on accepting a scholarship and NIL dollars should come with a commitment.
Oklahoma QB Dillon Gabriel is going elsewhere yet again...left UCF for OU. I thought he was done after this season. It seems he's been in college for 8 years. Some other OU guys have also entered the portal.
Don't know why Gabriel is leaving, but good luck.
He was basically fired. Shit rolls down hill. you know Ryan took alot of heat for that 3rd scUM loss. While Day made a couple mistakes in that game, none were on the level of destroying the ability to win like McCord's 2 interceptions. that was the difference in the game. 2 big mistakes. although I think JJ is just as prone to make the same mistakes.Kyle McCord gone
Couldn’t take the heat?
Gabriel being recruited by Oregon and USC. He’s going to get a couple million for a year. This has been known it was going to happen because OU is not going to risk losing Jackson Arnold to the portal. Gabriel is a good person, wish him all the best.Appears Gabriel follows Lebby wherever he goes. Kid needs to get use to playing for different coaches. He will end up at Mississippi State now minus a huge NIL deal.
Good for him. He was most likely gonna end up a undrafted free agent and Oregon will pay him a lot more for a year of service than getting that undrafted free agency pay. Hopefully Oregon's QB coach can help him with a few of his flaws to make him a better QB for the NFL, if not then he may end up a GA somewhere if he wants to stay in the football world.
It’s too bad. He wasn’t terrible. Not great like we are used to though. The cotton bowl will be interesting, I hear lots of transfers and opt outs
