If Denver trades/rleases Colquit, he's taking pay cut regardless.wherever he ends up. He's actually the joke of league for his salary and production as a inside the 20 guy. Denver should Dixon and hang time imo

?

Who is going to trade something for a punter who cannot distance himself from a rookie ?

Not to mention what he was accustom to earning

Who knows. That is why you shop him to see if anyone bites.

Yup DC has it right. You just put a few names out there and wait for the 2nd wave of cuts to see if anybody in a week period bites. If not then you cut them but at least try to get the draft pick first. Maybe some team doesn't want to compete with others in the hopes of signing that player.

Good news injury wise for the Broncos.

Latimer was at practice today. Not much of a participant but just shows his knee injury is pretty minor.

Also quite a few injured guys returned to practice. Weems is out of the concussion protocol so should be good to go week 1. Also returning was Fowler who did more drills on the sideline. Graham was at practice today but not doing much. Heuerman was a full participant today from what I have read so good to see him back for the TE depth.

So right now only players not practicing fully are Graham Sambrailo, and Fowler.

How ironic would it be if he ended up in Carolina? The team we beat in the SB, the team we play week 1.

Joey Bosa finally signed.

Figured it would get done. It would be a lose/lose for both him and the Chargers not to get something signed. Bosa would lose a ton of money and the Chargers would miss on their top-3 pick. Now have to see how ready he is to actually play.

Plus Colquitt was probably my number 2 choice to Von Miller as the Super Bowl MVP.

Kubiak today when asked about Colquitt was very non-committal. Team has about 25 minutes to make the final 4 cuts. Sounds like Sanchez will survive this round of cuts as the team wants him just in case Lynch needs to come out for a few plays on Thursday.

Some really good news for the Broncos today...

There is a chance that Latimer could even play in the final preseason game. Again just showing how minor his knee injury really is at this point.

The Broncos are also planning on Heuerman and Weems playing in the final preseason game which is more good news especially for Lynch in having better protection and more targets to throw to.

I still think the NFL needs better then one IR -designated to return option.

They need something like a 4 week IR spot. Much like the 15 day DL in MLB.

Oh I agree. When you only have a 53-man roster in a sport that is about as brutal as there is it just seems crazy that even if a player might only be out for 6 weeks of the season that most likely you have to IR them because you just can't store them on the roster with just so few spots available. I hate listening to the fact that David Bruton was fully healed up by the time the Super Bowl rolled around and yet we had to keep him on the sideline.

So some possible good news is that the Broncos and Sanders are much closer to getting a deal done than some thought at this point. The two sides have put some things on hold until all these cuts get done and the Broncos know their cap situation for this year and next a little bit better but with Colquitt gone and Sanchez either taking a pay cut or being cut that should be enough to get the deal done.

Ronnie Hillman closing camp strong, looks like he will survive the cuts and be our #3. Which is fine as long as the top two stay healthy.

Cowboys not going to sign Austin Davis for now. Wonder if they are holding off to see if we cut Sanchez since they want him to take a cap hit before trading for him.
