Maybe the Heat can trade wade and oden for westbrook and 4 1st round picks.....

Seems fair right?

as long as westbrook will play the 2 with LBJ at the 1 on offense I am all for that.

for that many draft picks we should get perkins too

They traded for Perkins a couple years ago. I suppose they could make another bad trade.

OKC BLEW IT when they traded Harden. I said it at the time that they should of kept Harden over Ibaka

Pau and 1st round unprotected for Westbrook...

If you haven't seen Reggie he might be what they need... Add a quality big man which Pau is and they got a huge shot... I don't think Westbrook and Durant are as good for Durant as a scoring big and Durant... And the Lakers can begin the Kobe transition... This takes away a lot of pressure and allows an older Kobe to have more freedom... Thoughts...?:noidea:

I don't think the Lakers are going to be doing any serious trades this year. There is a reason that they have only two contracts signed for next season. They want to duplicate what the Heat did. The only question is do they resign both Kobe and Gasol and how much. If the Lakers can get Kobe to sign for a third and Gasol for half of what he's getting in the spirit of the new CBA, then they have a legitimate shot in landing a huge big man or two in the summer and the Lakers just don't have any players to trade with.

Pau is 33 years old and making $19.3 million this year. Those are tough numbers to move and you'd probably have to take back some bad contracts to make it happen.

It really depends. Pau is in the last year of his contract and through the pre-season and 1st game, he has looked like the Pau from the back to back championships.

I can think of a few teams that are or should be in "win now" mode who could use a big with Pau's skills to possibly put them over the top. I'm not in favor of trading Pau, but depending on how the season plays out, the Lakers could be in a very strong position if they decide to trade him.

You're going to have to give up quite alot to get Westbrook who's only 24. Pau Gasol is 33, and by all accounts is past his prime (still a really good PF who can slide into center in certain rotations). But if the "window" is closing in OKC, I don't see how trading Westbrook for Gasol would help the Thunder at all.

They need something because they don't have enough even with Westbrook...:noidea:
