Good win for Venus and I congratulate her. I see Vika still has a lot of games to play before she gets full back to the thick of things. That does not denigrate the game Venus played. She really put some bombs out there.

Thank all of you for keeping me updated. I could not view the match. I could only watch the scoreboard and that's not much fun. Hope to catch the action beginning with the Quarters on ESPN. I did not know that this loss drops Vika out of the top 10. Did she have a problem with an injury or something? Venus played very well from what I could gather, so I'm not taking anything away from her.

I will probably go to sleep during Serena's match tonight, but I will use the old DVR since it will be on ESPN. I have to get up extra early in the morning and won't be able to stay up during the entire match. I will try to stay up as long as I can, but doubt if I make it through. Let's wish her luck.
