Game Thread: tOfficial Lakers Summer League Thread

We're all pretty excited about the young 'uns and seeing them play in the summer league. Figured I'd make a thread so we can all share our thoughts, observations and concerns on what we see.

Doubt we'll be able to have folks here during the games like in the regular season, but kinda cool if that happens. First game is tomorrow at 5:30pm PST.

Upshaw is who I'm most curious about. I think Randle, Clarkson and Russell will be fine and pretty much what we're hoping for. But if Upshaw really has 1st round talent and has gotten his head on straight, he could be an all-time steal considering he's an undrafted invitee.

Upshaw is already turning heads at the summer league. This really could be the ultimate steal of this years class of young talent.

Upshaw is who I'm most curious about. I think Randle, Clarkson and Russell will be fine and pretty much what we're hoping for. But if Upshaw really has 1st round talent and has gotten his head on straight, he could be an all-time steal considering he's an undrafted invitee.

That's what i'm hoping...

After these last few seasons we could use some breaks...

I think we are on the way up after being on the bottom for the last couple of seasons, CL67. The draft, the FAs coming in, and the returning youngsters. Upshaw turning out to be 1st round talent would be a bonus.

Hopefully they will decide to lock him up early. Cuban is desperate for a center and if Upshaw looks good, I wouldn't be surprised to see him try to swoop in with an offer.

Well right now, Cuban is headed to Milwaukee to sign Pachulia, one of the centers for the Bucks.

Saturday's game with the Sixers should be interesting
Okafor and Russell on same court to get a side-by-side view of them playing - granted they play different positions but at least they'll be on same court

I'm looking forward to seeing what Upshaw was does as well since he went u drafted and he plays a position of need.

It will be nice if he can show something and the Lakers sign him.

Our centers are most likely going to be Hibbert, Upshaw, Sacre going into preseason.
