Both teams were on fire in August and early September. We faced them in multiple series. We still owned them.

And yet we shit the bed the last 10 games of the season. They didn't. We were not playing good baseball at the time and they were. Had we been playing good baseball and everything played out the same way as it did, I'd agree that we probably smoke the Nats. What happens April-September doesn't always duplicate in October.
