- Isaiah McKenzie looked much more comfortable returning punts.. Much more patient, learned how to call a fair catch. He looked like he did back at Jawja returning punts. Happy to see that, hope it continues.
- Paxton Lynch. He needs to go. He is getting worse each game. Year 3 and he still plays like he is in panic mode. His technique is terrible and he doesn't look like he belongs.
- Chad Kelly- We saw the good and then the concern with him. Overall, happy with him, but he did force passes on the last two possessions. He is cleary ahead of Paxton, IMO.
- Brendan Langley reminded me of Cody Latimer on special teams last night
- It was a small sample size so hard to take much of it, but our first team run D struggled early on. No concern here though right now.
- Jamal Carter hamstring gonna keep him out awhile?
- Dymonte Thomas and Josey Jewell seemed to work the hardest of any of the backup units.
- Freeman and Lindsay did well. Lindsay is so explosive. Booker didn't get much of an opportunity but the 1's didn't play long. I thought we may see a smidge more of him beings there is a RB battle, but that will probably come more next week. Often in PS you give a RB a game where his role is a bit bigger.
- Zaire Anderson played really well. Shelby Harris played well. Demarcus Walker gave a little pressure which was nice to see.
- Cracraft didn't look good at punt returns but looked pretty good catching the ball. I think we will see him on the PS again. Still early to tell. But I think McKenzie is safe now that he looks like he learned something about being an NFLer and a punt returner this off-season.
Hard to take much more as we didn't see our main dawgs for long.
