Uh oh @Chewbaccer and other Georgia fans....get ready for your new mascot, Jim Harbaugh.......

Harbaugh's brother in-law and former Indiana hoops coach Tom Crean has been hired as the new Georgia basketball coach:

Both Jim and John are avid supporters of Crean:

Beware of the upcoming sleepovers in Athens.

:harbs3:

Based on that smile, looks like Harbaugh can add playing the Joker in an upcoming Batman movie to his list of accomplishments.

Do y'all know where Harbaugh should have gone if he didn't like the NFL...Syracuse?

Marone was onto something there. If he had stayed he would have turned them around.

Harbaugh would have had a good enough name to put Syracuse back in the mix for Jersey
athletes. They always got skill people from Jersey, years ago. Them and Penn State.

Now it would have meant a lot of hours and some early suffering, but he would have
gotten the same number of kids out of Florida he has at Michigan. Plus he would have
gotten them back into Jersey. The expectations wouldn't have been as great and it would
allow him to "build" rather than to find "immediate answers/results."

Just an opinion.

Well Harbaugh is an ego maniac, as is most high end coaches. Michigan had a very experienced team of high end recruits, two top 10 classes as juniors and seniors. A strong defense to start out with. It was a significantly better starting point. Then you have a large koolaid drinking fanbase vs next to no base for Syracuse in comparison. Michigan was premise to be turned around vs having to all the heavy lifting himself.

Harbaugh should actually give coaching basketball a shot given how much winning he does in February and March.

If Jimmy Jam was a hoops coach he'd make Bobby Knight seem levelheaded.

Jim Harbaugh could beat Virginia if he was coaching a 32-seed in the NCAA Tournament!

I'm aware of all of that, but I have a subtle point that I didn't really include or explain.

Does he have the proper mental make-up to coach high end recruits? You've got to baby
a lot of those types.

He appears to be a better coach than a CEO, or babysitter. I just think that Syracuse would
have been a better fit for his personality.

I guess I'm implying that he couldn't have done the same thing at USC that he did at Stanford.
He was in his natural habitat at Stanford with the type of athlete that they get, compared to what
he would have had at USC. Now all of that is hypothetical but it is a belief.

Maybe he'll be able to change the environment at Michigan, but the change is gonna be delayed
because he was forced to win big early.

At Syracuse he would have already changed the environment and would be able to play his
brand of football.

It’s crazy to think that Michigan has the better basketball coach and Michigan State has the better football coach.
