At a bbq competition in Tampa Bay, someone wrapped a gator in bacon with a chicken in the gator's mouth.

Interesting... Probably more for looks than taste is what I imagine. BBQ'd alligator tail is pretty damn good though and bacon makes all things better. Can't even eat the chicken as is so that's for show.

how long would you smoke an alligator? i'd think you could eat the chicken assuming you smoke the alligator for a long time just like you do any other meat. i've never had alligator but i know it's a lean meat, so all that bacon is to add fat, it's not just to add bacon.
