MLB 2018 schedule: March 29 Opening Day is earliest ever
Major League Baseball on Tuesday released its 2018 schedule, a slate that will feature the earliest Opening Day - Thursday, March 29 - in history.
The early start is due to the most recent Collective Bargaining Agreement, which will create three to four additional off days for teams throughout the season.
As a result, every team will open on the same day for the first time since 1968. MLB did not release game times, so national broadcast slots are not yet known
