I saw that about Gonzalez. Seems like the Astros would be out of the market. The Astros have been playing Marwin Gonzalez at SS. He's having a Scooter Gennett type of Super Utility man season. I'd be surprised if Luchnow parted with prospects to acquire a SS with a big lead in the division and a fairly low number to clinch the #1 seed in the Post Season.
I think Price is basically saying that the rest of the year is Stevo's chance to make it or break it. Being he is a first round draft pick, I'd say they will stick with him until the numbers are just unsustainable. With the way the Reds went into the AS break, I really didn't think they would come out of it playing so poorly. The offense has been, just bad. When they trade Cozart the offense will be worse
I see Robert Stephenson is going today. I wonder if the Reds are trying to trade him, and this is an audition.
He certainly doesn't offer much to a team needing an experienced guy who can play everyday.I think if Cozart's legs were 100%, he'd already be wearing another teams jersey. The DL stint around the All Star break and his playing time being limited by needed days off gives teams something to think about.
