He wasn't the best corner of all time but I don't believe anyone ever demonstrated this sort of closing speed. Nobody ran down Eric Dickerson, Tony Dorsett or Jerry Rice in the open, he caught all 3.

Green was a great corner. I watched many of his games on television. I think he had world class speed. Deion Sanders was another CB that had great closing speed.

Yeah as much as I hate to admit it deion was the best corner I've ever seen. He had great speed too but I doubt he had Green's closing speed. I remember the Lions throwing a short pass to a receiver running a corner route who was open by several steps when the ball was thrown.
