Oakland Raiders sign Sean Richardson of Green Bay Packers to offer sheet

The Raiders signed Green Bay Packers backup safety Sean Richardson to a restricted free-agent offer sheet on Tuesday. The Packers have until Monday to match the offer. Because Richardson was undrafted and received the low restricted free-agent tender of $1.542 million, the Raiders would not have to give Green Bay compensation if it declines to match.

It's a one-year, $2.55 million offer, a source with the Packers told ESPN.com.

Both the Raiders and the Packers are flush in salary-cap room at this point in free agency. Oakland, which has signed a total of 12 players this offseason, has $23 million in cap room, the fifth-most in the NFL. The Packers have $18 million, the seventh-highest in the league.

Well, our season will come down to how good Derek Carr plays.. And man, Carr can be REAL GOOD!! The way i see it?? You have a young QB in which our season rest on his arm!! If i was the GM, i would do everything in my power to make sure he has the TOOLS to carry us into the playoffs THIS year!! GREAT QB play can carry any team!! That is a fact.. I would pick COOP who i think is the best WR in some time, to grow with Carr, along with Streater, Holmes, Butler,JJ!! The D WILL be good!! We need more points!!

The Raiders re-signed Safties Larry Asante and Brandian Ross, WRs Andre Holmes and Rod Streater, P Marquette King, DE Denico Autry, TE Brain Leonhardt, T Matt McCants, RB Jamize Olawale and CB Neiko Thorpe.

Of those, Holmes and Streater will have the most impact on offense. King will be our punter.
