Haven't seen, but really want to see Blindspotting and Bad Times at the El Royale. Both looking visually stunning, interesting, and trailers demostrated solid acting.

I took the kid and we laughed our asses off. Dumb as can be movie with dumb as can be plot but the stupid funny stuff had us rolling.

But we went in having laughed at the trailer for over a week so we knew it was going to be a stupid stupid movie. The scene where the guy was making **** and what they were doing behind the curtains still makes me chuckle when I think about it. My god it was funny.

LMFAO. I'm with you. I was shocked and the theater laughed. Crazy scene. "you want to, uh, close the curtain." :pound:

It looked a lot funnier to me from the previews. To each their own though. You still rocking the moviepass after all the changes? I switched to the AMC A-List but both of the theaters close to me are AMC so it made more sense even for $20 per month instead of $10. I just couldn't get over not being able to pick the movie i wanted to see when i wanted to see it.

Yes, still using MoviePass. Last year I paid for a year. The change hasn't affected me much. The times can be a bit of a pain and movies that you can see, change daily. I prefer early shows but of the three movies I saw last week, two were in the evening. I'm off to watch Kin today.

We have an AMC here. I looked into A-List and was going to sign-up. I tried our AMC theater and it fucking sucks! Wheelchair seating seats you 20 feet away from the screen. Too fucking close, man! Idiots sit that close. Every time I'd go, I would have to pay a minimum of $6.50 for parking. Downtown sucks. Even if seating was good, $6.50 per movie makes A-list not worth it.

Burn After Reading: 4/5 stars. Brad Pitt gave a legendary performance; all the more legendary considering he had such limited screen time. His best performance since 12 Monkeys (4/5 stars).

The movie in general was fucking genius.

RGB which was quite good.

Crazy Rich Asians. Entertaining.

A typical romantic comedy with the usual cute, smart potential wife to be with a son dominated by a bitch of a mother.

With a very decided Asian slant. Which was interesting but I know I missed some of the jokes!

It could have easily been Crazy Rich Jews, Italians, Greeks with some adjustments but fun overall.

Tag - 3.5 out of 5 stars Fun comedy where everyone played their part well.

Mission Impossible: Fallout - 4 out of 5 stars. This was definitely a lot better than the previous movie in the series. Knew was was going to happen but still enjoyed the ride. Wonder if they'll leave Renner out of the next one as well.

Equalizer 2 - 3 out of 5 stars. Not quite as good as the first one as it took quite a while for this one to get going. But if you liked the first movie, you'll enjoy this one.

Renner was supposed to be in this one

Yeah, they had written a part for him I heard but I think he wasn't in it due to his commitment to The Avengers, even though they didn't need him in part one of Infinity War.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. 9/10. Holy Hell this is fantastic. I would have given this a 10 if it had a post-credit vocal of you know who screaming in pain.

Captain Fantastic. 6.5/10

I finally watched The Darkest Hour last night. It was fine, nothing special. Churchill's life deserves a much broader scope and those few weeks in May 1940 UK deserve a much more detailed and thorough examination. I don't know exactly what I was expecting but this didn't really cut it for me. The acting was good. It was a slight disappointment, though.

I think it was for his role in Part 2

The movies were filmed basically right on top of each other. So that filming probably coincided with MI filming.

Anyone have any guesses, based on what has been released thus far on what might possibly be nominated for Best Picture?

Why, is that movie someone's favorite ? Like I said, I don't think there was anything particularly wrong with it and I don't feel that strongly one way or the other. I just wish it had covered a bit more ground. I'm not looking for any trouble in here. I get enough of that in the PF.

Hereditary or Eighth Grade.

My guess is that we haven't seen the heavy hitters yet. Bad Times at El Royale has potential. Mary Queen of Scots would be a mortal lock if it wasn't already getting buzz for being historically inaccurate.
