I will admit the snarky little punk had a few good moments. He still looks like Alfred E. Neuman.

I agree. I saw the first Reacher movie. Not bad, but definitely a one-time viewing movie. Haven't seen the second one yet.

a really good flick

I had no idea of the history of these 3 ladies
I was reading that one of the trio is still alive...she's in her late 90s. Had no idea why anyone would be interested in her story.

Having read all the books, it is hard to see/believe the diminutive Cruise as Reacher.

Other than that the first one was okay. Will probably eventually see the 2nd.

Patriots Day

Just an excellent movie all around... well-directed, and great performances. The Watertown shootout scene alone is worth the price of admission.

I never heard of them either...

Until earlier this season on Timeline. They featured them in an episode, and one of the main characters even mentioned (they are very famous in our time. They even made a movie about them". I wonder if Timeline was intended to be a spring-debut show or if Hidden Figures was originally intended to have a summer release date.

Magnificent 7 2016 is the most irrelevant movie ever made. Chris Pratt and Denzel and a lot of cookie cutter nothingness.

Agreed. I wish they'd knock off the continual remake shit. It never rises to the level of the original.

Magnificent 7 remake. I didn't have any expectations since I didn't see the original and enjoyed it for what it was. *** out of *****

Maybe it was because I enjoyed the first one more than I thought but the second one wasn't nearly as good in my opinion.

X-Men Apocalypse

I just wrote a review in its own thread.

Basically, I think it is about a 6.5/10. More entertaining than I was expecting. Definitely NOT a franchise killer, IMHO.

Hell or High Water

My expectations must have been too high. It was good, but nothing incredibly earth-shattering. Certainly not an Oscar-contender (granted, though, I haven't really seen anything for '16 that would qualify as an Oscar contender yet).

6/10

X-Men was WAY more entertaining, but this was obviously better acted and a better script, even if it wasn't that memorable.

Passengers. I liked it but they ended it to quick. Like they ran out of material and just ended it.
