The Dodgers might be getting Hamels and Utley. Heard something on the radio.

I would settle for a set-up man to be honest lol.
Dodgers new President "going buckwild"The overall plan, though, is compelling.
Streamline the payroll. Create paths for youngsters such as Pederson and shortstop Corey Seager. Make the roster more flexible, spend when appropriate, combine financial might with an improving farm system to gain access to virtually any player available in free agency or trade.
Burn it down. Build it up. Friedman and Co. are only getting started
Ken Rosenthal sums it up nicely I think:

Does Matt Kemp = Vernon Wells?
Didn't get rid of the full 20 mil per year like I would have liked but based on Matt's numbers for the past 3 seasons, he's still being overpaid by the Padres.
Arruebarrena may be used as a trade chip here soon as well. Friedman can't be stopped.
To be fair, Kemp was injured for about 2 of those 3 years. In the 2nd half of last season, he looked like the Matt Kemp from the season where he should have been MVP over Braun.
I agree, I think he'll provide good power numbers for 2-3 years, after that I believe the contract starts to really screw you over. He's no longer a threat as a base stealer and he's seemingly lost a step after all those injury problems. Just my opinion on it, Kemp was my favorite player for years but I acknowledge that it's all down hill from here with that contract.
Also doesn't help that Crawford hit .300 and doesn't have any interest.
