It is what it is. So who do we go for?

Rough estimations have Noah Vonleh, Julius Randle or Aaron Gordon at that spot.

I'd be happy with any of those three.

Doug McDermott is a good player too. Great shooter and phenomenal basketball IQ.

Cavs had a 1.7% chance of getting #1 and somehow they get it?

3 out of 4 years? Still trying to make up for LeBron leaving?

Ridiculous.

We can bitch and moan as much as we like, it's not going to change the outcome.

We have to move on and be realistic.

With three good power forwards projected for the 7th pick, it may be a good bargaining chip for Minnesota to replace Love. Or , keep the pick and still walk away with a great player.

True ShaqDaddy

Still ridiculous none the less.

The NBA lottery is the biggest farce in sports. If they really wanted to eliminate conspiracy and whatnot, they would do the lottery balls live for all to see.

To be honest, we never should have been here in the first place.

But at least we get a good player out of it and we're just as close to a championship trophy this season as the clippers or rockets are.

They used to have the card grab where each team had a certain number of cards with the team logo. More losses equalled more cards but the NBA never had the ping pong balls in the bin. Too random and not predictable enough for the owners. I lean toward the camp that thinks the NBA lottery is fixed.

Btw, the last team to win the #1 pick when they had the worst record was.....

You guessed it, Cleveland in 2004- so they could get LeBron.

That's 4 #1 picks in 10 years.

Man, this fucking blows. D'Antoni fucked things up with winning so much. Now the Lakers are stuck with some lame fuck when there are superstars to be had. i am pissed as hell with this outcome.

The Lakers will get someone who is lucky to play next year. Time to trade for Love.

The rebuilding is going to take forever now if they don't get Love.

#1 pick to the Cavaliers - the same Cavaliers owned by Dan Gilbert who basically did a :finger2: to the Lakers by convincing Stern to veto the Paul trade

Gilbert is laughing all of the way to the lottery bank right now

The only way to get Love is to hope he says LA or bust.

That is about the extent of it. I guess Don'tknowi has the last laugh. He convinces the team to win and not tank. States he is going to complete his contract, feigns commitment, and then bolts leaving the Lakers with the slim chance of a top five pick. Gilbert is also laughing and of course Stern had to get his little grimey hands into shafting the Lakers when he could legally. Trading the pick in a package to get Love is looking less likely each day because Minnesota is doing their best to try to convince Love to stay and refusing to trade Love which comes full circle back to Outlaw's point.

Lol @ all the Lakers fans. If you think anyone is gonna feel sorry for you, stop watching the NBA all together. God forbid you're gonna have to spend a few years rebuilding and not have star players handed to you, right?

No kidding. It's so ridiculous.

One bad year and "We are going to miss out on a superstar, the world is ending, blah" after all these years of pretty much constant success. It'd be nice to see the Lakers out of the contention for a few years. They have no idea what it's like...

Considering that we got Ryan Kelly in the second round last year, it is entirely conceivable that we get two good players this year. Maybe things will work out. We shall see.
