Go back to the format before this chase shit was implemented. Award points for winning the pole. Race winner should get at least 10-15 points more than 2nd.

Agreed except for awarding points for qualifying.

All points should be based on race results IMO. If you qualify for the pole, but fall back and finish 15th, you shouldn't be rewarded for starting first. I mean, after all, it's not where you start, it's where you finish.

Getting to start the race first and getting first pit selection should be reward enough for winning the pole.

Full season points, no cutoff bullshit. Something simple to follow like one position is worth extra point (like it is now) but the winner gets a significant amount of points more. Like 20 pts more. Winning is hard. It should be rewarded. I'd also be in favor of awarding zero points for finishes 35th and below or zero points for DNFs. Teams would still get paid, just no points. That adds a nice wrinkle of drama.

I agree with full season for points. Most consistent, be on your game eery week. I don't like points for qualifying, It is called racing not qualifying. I would not mind seeing fast qualifier start last and get passing points though. In this case I could see giving point for qualifying to the 10 maybe.

Qualifying is self-explanatory. You present a vehicle that is race worthy. If you can't do that, you don't belong in the race and thus eligible for race-bearing points. They watered this thing down so much that competitiveness has been neutered. Could it be that PC has quietly worked its way into NASCAR via that idiot Brian France? I definitely think so with his recent proclamations of "LGBT" Drivers and the ConFed flag bullshit. What a joke!
