Anyone able to tell me why we have Kelly Oubre covering Dame Lillard in the close of the 4th quarter? That’s malpractice.

Subpar Embiid night. He never gets run in the preseason. His Oct/Nov is usually meh. A decent Embiid night tonight and you can afford to close with Melton instead of Oubre. Dame is Dame but maybe he only goes off for 10 in that run instead of the 15-18 he got. He’s fucking good and that’s what is special about Dame and Giannis. Nobody closes like Dame. Giannis doesn’t have to do it every night. Some nights he doesn’t have it and some nights that’s apparent at the line…like tonight. Last year you can be down and extend the game as he only makes 1 of 2. Now you have Dame hitting 30 foot threes.

Nurse has to figure out this rotation. I want Bamba’s size on the floor for non-Embiid minutes and give BBall Paul run at the 4. Danny Green gave them nothing tonight. Tobias Harris only took 9 shots. That can’t happen with a non Harden team. He has to take more shots. Dude still hit 20! He needs to get more looks. Also…they’re going to play Nurse scheme better as season advances.

Overall, it’s an opening night loss. One of 82. They did show some fight at different times and Maxey is gonna be ok. I need him to shoot better.
